  • After that, click on the Tools option. You can find it as the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen. 
  • Once you click on the tools, a list menu will open in front of you. 
  • From that list menu, select the “internet options” and click on it. 
  • A new popup window will open in front of you. 
  • In that you will see the option to enable the Content Advisor. Just enable it. 
  • Then click on the OK button. 
  • Then a new window will open up. Click on the create password button there. After that, enter the desired password. And click on the OK button. 
  • And you are done with the password protection for Internet Explorer. 

Note: To fully and completely protect your browser by password, go to the content tab again and click on the settings option below the content advisor. From that, select the option none. And you have fully protected your internet browser with a password. 

Now every time you open the internet explorer, you will be prompted for the password. No one will have access to it unless he enters the password.

  • First of all, go to the menu bar in Firefox, which is located in the top right corner of the screen. 
  • From there, select the tools, and click on them. 
  • In the tools, select the options, and click on them. 
  • You will have a new options window there. From that window, select the security tab and click on it.
  • In that tab, you will see an option called Use master password. Check in front of it. 
  • You will have a small popup in which you have to enter a password and then reconfirm it.

Note: This master password is applicable only when anyone tries to enter the saved passwords into Firefox sites. To fully protect everything with the password, you have to use the Profile Password addon in Mozilla Firefox.

  • The first step is to install the simple startup password extension on the Chrome browser. It can be done by going to the Google store and searching for the Simple Startup password and clicking on the install. 
  • After the installation, you will see the new icon in front of the search bar. Click on it. And then set it up. Instead, you can directly go to the settings in Chrome and go to the options. Then go to the extensions and from there select the simple startup password. 
  • In that, enter a desired password according to your choice. Then you are done with it. From next time, you will be prompted for the password as soon as you access the chrome.
